VR Provisioning with SteamLink and Playstation.

While VR may be expensive at the moment, there are some things that we can have now that we can get at a reasonable price to improve our gaming Such as the Steam Link for $55 (well aside from the actual ps4 which I don't have yet). I've done some more research, and testing, and have upgraded most of the following in my Bachelor's pad.

The Steam Link pretty much saves me from buying yet another computer by using the Gigabyte connection to my actual computer for my controllers. Others online have already confirmed the ability to use ps4 dual shock 4 for the steam Link this will save on cost for both buying extra controllers, and the charging docks.

I've actually had the convertible coffee table for a while along with the x55 Rhino joystick and Throttle, but It wasn't until Steam link that it make it plausible.

I am so tired, but in other news I've completed my 3.5 year long quest and forged The Eternity in Guild Wars 2 which was the combination of the Great swords Twilight and Sunrise 2 legendary items, it was brutal. I'll post pics later.

Update with Eye-Tracking

I'm still in the midst of rapid growth while streamlining my applications for myself and my Dad's Side business, while working on our day jobs. Regardless, I have to push for the use of Eye Tracking as the future of all office desktops, as its advantages, cost and the maturity of the technology after 15 years of development by the Tobii EyeX team has made it worth while.

Many Hours spents on PLP (and other upgrades)

Since I've been working Heavily with Industry recently I've had the opportunity to pushed my Studio network a bit further. Aside from the Enterprise stuff which I can't talk about,  I'm doing the home networks for employees and bosses on the side. So Its a bit refreshing to get back into commercial set ups which I love.

I've procured and install various networks that interconnect with sorts of gaming systems. In my case just a week after I had installed my UPS" a brownout occur in the middle of a pvp match (shame I didn't capture it while streaming), but it made me push even further.  To also get a separate router instead of relying on my previous all-in-one I ordered.

Just a simple call with Shaw Cable (Gateway assistance) and in no even 5 minutes I was able to convert the box to bridge mode so I could run DHCP from my dual core, dual frequency IEEE AC router that I bought to save my modem from getting roosted, remove some local logic conjestion, increase the range and strength to the extender, and actually have a solo Router ready to plug into a Fibre Modem when they have Fibre to the home ready.

I had to tidy my cabinet as part of Spring Cleaning anyways.

Somehow in my work conversations I Stumbled upon  rotating monitors to portrait mode.
then it stuck me. my Nividia surround was no perfect. I was wasting mouse moments and my eyes were doing too much work when compared to PLP surround.

I did the WHOLE can of Worms to get it to kinda work. I can't move my mouse to sides using this SoftTH program, Radeon supports this natively so I'll just wait on NIvidia to catch up.

But this is like when surround first came out, its exciting and pushing the limits. But i'm just one guy and I know when to let go. the reason I still going through this route is because I've using a POV headset that i made look sort of Lacutis of BORG and when everyone starts to use VR I want to provide the content from my controller view.

This will probably be it for infrastructure unless we get mass subsidies to install solar panels, and wind turbines. I'll still waiting for the Market to crash rock bottom so i can buy a house to build equality with after all.

On the Gaming front Diablo 3 Finally fully redeemed itself in my eyes with season 5 It was actually fun to go at my own pace and explore and do things. on pc. I played it on Console as well at my cousins' and it was fun in it own different way.

Guild Wars 2 is in domant mode for me I'll finish off my Eternity, and then just play for the season 3 story when it comes out, its causal in and out at best.

Starcraft 1 was fully re-worked using the sc2 engine and its beautiful. That modders got all the audio files and everything back in 2013 and i never heard about it till now. I'll of course get legacy of the void when it goes to 20, But there is something special i want to try.

Overall I have zero time for streaming cause of everything I've been doing. and my personal to do list is pileling up, but I've priorities these infrastructures projects to at least make my life easier

Hello its been awhile I've had to work as much as I could in my IT field whenever I have the opportunity in this recession, but that doesn't mean I don't have further ambition. Even though I had my hands tied I've decided to improve upon my streaming studio setup even further and save myself some time for when I have time to stream. by gathering all the industry advice I could from my co-workers, and bosses who are much more knowledgable in the field. To that end.

I've attached the completed blueprint of my complete studio setup I use a tool called yED Graph Editor that was free if you like to try it out it can trace the path of each node. you can find the tool here http://www.yworks.com/en/products/yfiles/yed/
I use 2 pcs is because I can not have too much strain on my gaming pc, so i have the streaming pc to do all the work encoding. this takes away significant if not all lag spikes locally.

The reason I'm still using 2 mice to the right even though I have the KVM switch is because I need to have control over two computers separately for the recording tool off the streaming pc with the small monitor. The reason I'm still using the left hand mouse is for showing the skill of using both hands on separate computers for separate gaming accounts also at the same time. Either way when I switch over control to type with that one keyboard, the main mouse is in service for all computers.
The audio interface is nothing new since an XLR mic must use it to converts an audio signal to digital for recording. However since I would very much like to be able to use the same expensive mic, and interface on both computers for their quality. I've opted to set the record on playback on the pc that the audio interface goes into then have it output to the DAC (digital audio converter) plug in a 3.5mm plug to the headphone jack of the DAC, and plug the other end of the 3.5mm plug to the mic of my gaming pc to be used with my chat services such as Teamspeak, or Mummble.
The reason for the key cam is to show my hands on the keys as i play in the background of the Facecam. The monitor cam is not show in the actually recording on my OBS recording, but rather during gaming for me to see myself in center screen. to make up for not being able to see the streaming pc's live recording at the right angle.

Windows 10 spyware removal and speed-up

So we've had Windows 10 out for a few weeks now, and if you're a PC Gamer like me, you know that the benefits of the upgrade to reduce overhead and API load for our graphics cards is worth it even before mentioning the Direct x12.

The drawback is how Microsoft  is following the footsteps of Facebook in gathering our private information so they could sell it to the highest bidder for targeted advertising or the NSA.

I mean I understand the old saying that if you aren't paying for the Product you "Are" the product. In response I would say Windows 8 sucked, and I was owed Windows 10 as reparation as much as if not more so than how Blizzard Entertainment is paying me back for my money and time lost in World of Warcraft up to the End of Wrath of the Lich King(when I left), with Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm, but I digress.

I'm not too smart to know all the ins and outs without following a guide so I've found one on YouTube to Follow. The purpose of this blog is to break down what Crimson Rayne and other vloggers have done. He was rather fast at a couple of intervals and did not explain too clearly except for his written article for about 1 or 2 things he did so I'll go over them by paraphrasing to our needs so we can be clear on how all the steps are done.

0:48
We won't have to worry about the whole local account thing for company computers that we'll eventually use with Windows 10 because we have control over our server Accounts. However if this is for your personnel at home computer I would change that login to a local account with this guide by following this article , or the following video.

Don't worry about what this guy says at the end about needing to log into your Microsoft account in order to use your e-mail or other features, that was pretty much a given.

6:32 he went on to mention using RegEditor to turn off the Telemetry without actually showing how to get into RegEdit.

Start+R -> Regedit -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> MICROSOFT -> WINDOWS -> CURRENT VERSION -> POLICIES -> DATACOLLECTION. Double click on AllowTelemetry and change the value from “1” to a “0”.

you can then continue to follow Mr. Crimson's instructions on the Command prompt that I've copied below.

command” -> right click Command Prompt and -> Run as Admin

CD..

CD..

SC DELETE DIAGTRACK

SC DELETE DMWAPPUSHSERVICE

ECHO “” > C:\PROGRAMDATA\MICROSOFT\DIAGNOSIS\ETLLOGS\AUTOLOGGER\AUTOLOGGER-DIAGTRACK-LISTENER.ETL

That's about it for getting rid of the spyware the rest of this compilation is about other things, such as the Wifi, Update prevention, and Speed-up in that order.

If you are using wifi with Windows 10 and are encountering problem please check out this guide

It you are super techy and want to just have the updates you want and stop any future windows updates you can follow this Video

To Speed up your Windows 10 Computer Over all you can follow this video.

A quick note, at 1:40 when he went into Advance options to select the maximum memory, you can find that number by clicking Start--> Documents --> Right clicking on my computer and select properties.  The number of usable ram will be in brackets next to the amount of ram you have on your device, so you can go ahead and type that usable amount in.

After learning off youtube and my mentors at work for awhile I've advanced my home stuido a bit further to include monitoring for both video and audio functions to make it a bit easier for me to make videos.

much more to come.

Switching Internet Service Providers

So I've been setting up a Channel on YouTube and Twitch and I've now realize that I need greater speeds for streaming. With that in mind I've taken a look back and what Plan I'm using and which best to switch to since I have the advantage of relatives with Smart Phones to bundle with for one of the 2 ISPs in town.

·         note we don’t have to buy a new modem and we have the Wifi-Go if we stay with Shaw
·         Currently we are using Internet 15 from SHAW.
·         Shaw only bundles internet, with TV, and Landline which don’t use, and are getting rid of.

·         I don’t know if bundling a second mobile phone to this would further decrease the cost
·         Telus’s download speed is not stable for that reason I would recommend the Internet 50 package so we could consider our switch as an Upgrade.

I need at least 5 Mbps to comfortably stream content at 1080p 30fps. SHAW simply does not offer that at a reasonable price. Telus does, but as I’ve said I’d highly recommend the Internet 50 package so that we won’t sacrifice our downloading speed, and we have the ability for more than one user to upload at once if we need to.
